Glad you agree Brian and I like the video a lot - is this something that will be featuring at mLearn this year (just near the Ironbridge).

The flashcards - became a consumer tool in getawayphrases which doesn't offer the 1000 words I learnt - but a 100 useful words and phrases in 4 languages - French, German, Italian and Spanish. Also it is not iPhone compatible yet (See here).

Out uHavePassed platform will soon support both user generated flash cards and the iPhone though!

Brilliant. You've spotted one of those unexpected changes. We start by doing something familiar (in this case putting the paper cards onto a portable electronic device) but then it turns out that something unexpected happens and we do a totally new thing that we couldn't have thought up before.

Mobile learning is more than putting the paper onto a phone - it's a new way of learning.

I made a film in which I tried to capture this idea of new things. Watch it at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n1-q9M2cYnU and you'll see what I mean.

Thanks for this post. It's exciting and innovative. Where can I get your flash acrds and do they work on the iPhone? I need those 1000 words of German on my handy!

I agree! I believe we are so used to our phones that we prefer to do more and more things with them. It happened yesterday (in bed) when I turned off the laptop to take the iTouch to watch the BBC iPlayer... it was handy ;)
